Where interesting people go to find other interesting people

Can you engineer the perfect day with friends? I'm not sure, but AdamCon is my attempt at making it happen - and after last year, it's back for 2026.

AdamCon is a one-day event designed around meeting new people in booked 1:1 conversations. We expect ~30 interesting people from Adam's extended network to attend - find your next best friend, partner, job, cofounder, or just someone to grab a drink with.

We'll be based around the canal and Granary Square at King's Cross - with lots of places to walk and sit if it's sunny, and plenty of interesting indoor space if the weather turns.

Meeting Points

We're based around the canal by Granary Square. When you book a meeting, you'll agree one of these three spots to find each other. They're all a 5-minute walk from King's Cross station, and within a minute or two of each other along the towpath.

Things to do nearby

Got a gap between meetings, or fancy taking a conversation for a wander? King's Cross is a lovely part of town to explore. Some ideas:

  • Walk along the canal, West towards Gasholder Park and on to Camden Lock or East towards Angel and Islington.
  • Explore Camley Street Natural Park - a tiny, lovely canalside nature reserve run by the London Wildlife Trust.
  • Grab food at Canopy Market - a covered market with plenty of food stalls.
  • Head north to Lewis Cubitt Park, Handyside Gardens or Bingfield Park for some green open space.
  • See Coal Drops Yard - shops, food and drink in the restored Victorian coal warehouses.
  • Enter Central Saint Martins (UAL) - the striking Granary building, with its huge covered atrium.
  • Visit St Pancras Library and Leisure Centre - books, a pool and a gym if you want a change of pace.

People Are Already Buzzing

Last year I said it might be genius or might be unhinged. The data is in: it was both, and we're doing it again.

Other questions you might have

Who's invited?

AdamCon is open to anyone who wants to meet new people and have interesting conversations. If you know Adam, you should sign up! If you don't know Adam, but you like the sound of this, you should sign up too!

When do I need to register by?

Registration closes when we hit capacity. Sign up early to avoid (severe) disappointment.

How will the matching actually work?

We'll either get/build a fancy booking platform or just have a Google Sheet with Calendlys - depends how many of you actually sign up.

Do I have to come for the whole day?

Nope! The event will run from 11am-6pm, but you can drop for just some of this if you want. We'll have some way to mark your availability so people only book time with you when you're actually there.

What if I don't know anyone?

AdamCon is designed for people who want to meet new people! You'll be able to find others who are also looking to connect.

What can I eat/drink?

AdamCon won't be providing food or drinks, so feel free to bring your own or grab something nearby! There's a ton of great options around Granary Square and Coal Drops Yard.

How much will it cost?

It's free! AdamCon is a passion project, not a money-making venture. If you want to support it, just show up and have fun.

Can I stay overnight?

If you're travelling a long way for AdamCon, we'll have a few spots at Adam's place for people who want to crash overnight. Let us know in your application.

I have other decision-relevant questions!

Contact Adam. Or just sign up and wing it.
